«Geoinformation Systems» UE took part in the IX Belarusian Space Congress

The Ninth Belarusian Space Congress was held at the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus from October 21 to 23, 2025, as well as at the A.V. Lykov Institute of Heat and Mass Transfer of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

 

The plenary session took place on October 21 at 10:00 in the conference hall of the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, an exhibition of scientific and technical products for space applications was opened at 09:00, timed to coincide with the congress.

 

The Congress was attended by Marina Vasilevskaya - Hero and astronaut of Belarus; Oleg Novitsky – pilot and astronaut of the Russian Federation; representatives of government agencies of the Republic of Belarus, the Standing Committee of the Union State; space agencies of the CIS countries; scientific and industrial organizations of Belarus and Russia, as well as young scientists, students and schoolchildren.

The objectives of the Congress were:

- Discussion of new achievements in the space sector and identification of priority development areas;

- Strengthening international cooperation in space research and the peaceful use of outer space;

- Developing partnerships between Belarusian and foreign organizations, scientists, and specialists for the implementation of joint programs and projects;

- Using space technologies to benefit various economic sectors.

The work of the congress was organized following six sections:

- Innovative programs, projects, and technologies in the rocket and space industry. Use of the results of space activities for economic benefit.

- Satellites, imaging and scientific equipment. Navigation, communication, and broadcasting systems.

- Remote sensing of the Earth, geoservices, and artificial intelligence in space technologies.

- Education and training for the space industry.

- Thermophysical aspects of practical astronautics, advanced materials and devices.

- Space research in biology, physiology, and medicine.

The forum program includes over 100 presentations by scientists and specialists from Belarus, Russia, and China.
