«Geoinformation Systems» UE took part in «Ecology Expo-2025»
«Geoinformation Systems» UE took part in the «ECOLOGY EXPO - 2025» 3rd International Specialized Exhibition, which was held from August 19 to 21, 2025, as part of the collective stand of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
The exhibition highlighted such developments as:
- The software system for automated threat detection and forecasting of the state of natural ecosystems in specially protected natural areas using Earth remote sensing data (TDSF SS);
- The software system for acquisition and thematically processing of geodata on water bodies to identify and monitor phytoplankton “blooms” using remote sensing data (WATER SS).
The stand was visited by the heads of specially protected natural areas (the Ozera and Osveysky nature reserves, as well as representatives of the State Nature Conservation Research Institution, the Polesie State Radiation and Ecological Reserve), who expressed interest in developing projects for the use of geographic information systems and Earth remote sensing data for areas contaminated with radionuclides.
The «ECOLOGY EXPO – 2025» International Specialized Environmental Exhibition is the largest congress and exhibition event in Belarus in the field of ecology, environmental protection, environmental equipment, technologies and services in 2025.
The event included an extensive exhibition and business program, plenary discussions, round tables, and business meetings.
