Director of Geoinformation Systems UE participated in the press conference dedicated to the World Aviation and Astronautics Day

Sergey Anatolyevich Zolotoy - Director of «Geoinformation Systems» UE - took part in the Press Conference dedicated to the World Aviation and Astronautics Day, which was held on April 10, 2025, at the National Press Center

Sergey Anatolyevich Zolotoy spoke about 2024 performance, in particular about signing of Decree No. 150 "On Belarusian Space System of Earth Remote Sensing" by the President of the Republic of Belarus on April 15, 2024. The document provides for the implementation in 2024-2028 of a joint Belarusian-Russian project to develop the Belarusian Space System of Earth Remote Sensing. By now, the complete package of design documentation has been released; components for the satellite and payload have been purchased.

Sergei Anatolyevich also mentioned the implementation of the “Complex-SG” Russian-Belarusian Common State program, within the framework of which a small satellite constellation is being created in order to study the near-Earth space, track space debris, probe the ionosphere and study solar phenomena.

Marina Vitalievna Vasilevskaya - the first Belarusian woman astronaut and Hero of Belarus - also participated in the mentioned press conference.

Vityaz Pyotr Aleksandrovich – Head of the Department of Aerospace Activities of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus;

Bucha Ivan Nikolaevich – Deputy Head of the Aerospace Activities Department of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus;

Kazachok Irina Aleksandrovna – leading specialist of the Aerospace Activities Department of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

The speakers answered questions live on air and congratulated the press conference participants, listeners and viewers on World Aviation and Astronautics Day.
