Igor Boleslavovich Strashko

Deputy Director for Production of the Scientific and Engineering Republican Unitary Enterprise (UE) “Geoinformation Systems” of the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) of Belarus

Born 30 June 1972 in Moscow.

In 1993, graduated from the St. Petersburg Higher Military-Topographic Command College with a major in the "Command Tactical Aerophototopography".

In 2006, graduated from the Academy of Public Administration under the Aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus, with a major in "Information Technologies in Public Administration".

Since 2013, he has held the position of Deputy Director for Production of the UE "Geoinformation Systems" of the NAS of Belarus.

Author and co-author of 5 academic papers and publications.

In recognition of his services, he was awarded:

  • Medal “For Labor Merits” (2013).
  • Commemorative Badge "On the Occasion of the 100th Anniversary of the Belarusian Institute of Culture" (2022).

Main areas of expertise:

  • Solving organizational-managerial, hardware- software, socio-economic problems;
  • Control of methodological, informational, documentary and regulatory support for the operation of the equipment for controlling spacecraft from the territory of Belarus, and receiving, processing and providing space data to users of the Belarusian Space System for Earth Remote Sensing.
  • Implementation of work on the marketing activities of the Enterprise, including advertising and exhibition activities and the search for new purchase orders for the supply of space imagery data.
