From 1983 to date, he has been working at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Since 1996, Head of the UE "Geoinformation systems".

Graduated from the Belarusian State University. Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering Sciences.

Main Areas of Expertise:

• Development of systems for processing video data (space and aerial imagery acquisition), voice information, and decision-making support.

Winner of the Competition for the Best Development of the Institute of Technical Cybernetics of the Academy of Sciences of the BSSR (the Belorussian Soviet Socialist Republic) (1986); awarded the title of Honorary Inventor of the Institute of Technical Cybernetics of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

Author of more than 150 scientific papers, holds 55 author's certificates for inventions in the field of automation and computer technology, medical and pulse technology, and 5 patents.

• Member of the Interagency Committee on Issues of Topographic & Geodetic and Navigation Support of the military organization of the Republic of Belarus under the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus.
• Academician of the International Academy of Astronautics (Paris, France).

Chief Designer of the Belarusian Space System for Earth Remote Sensing (BSSERS). Appointed by Ordinance No. 318 of the Bureau of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus dated 28 June 2007 "On the Organization of Work for the Development of the BSSERS in 2007-2010".

In recognition of merits in the advancement of science, he was awarded:

• Medal of Francysk Skaryna (2016);
• Certificate of Honor of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (2008);
• Jubilee Medal on the 80th anniversary of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (2009).

For fruitful scientific and organizational activity to substantiate and implement the conceptual provisions for the creation of the Belarusian Space System for Earth Remote Sensing, awarded a Commendation of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus (2013).

For remarkable individual creative contribution to the organization of the implementation of space programs and projects, awarded a Commemorative Badge of the Federal Space Agency of the Russian Federation "For Merits in the Organization of Space Activities".
